Granby Nursery, Sycamore Avenue, Wickersley, Rotherham, S66 2NP
Located in the village of Wickersley, Rotherham the nursery provides childcare for up to 41 children a day. The nursery is very accessible and is a short drive from the M18 and M1 motorways.
The nursery is managed by Joanne Dawson, a graduate with Early Years Professional Status. Joanne has over 21 years childcare experience and has worked for Granby for 12 years. The nursery has a full time qualified Early Years Teacher who works directly with the older children all day to ensure they reach their full potential.
The single storey building was originally a 'baby-clinic' and has adapted really well to its current use. Floor to ceiling windows in all rooms ensures children can always see what is happening in and around the nursery. It has a spacious outdoor learning area and a large car park for parents to ensure easy and safe drop off and collections.

“Children are happy and well settled in the setting. An effective key person system ensures that children experience continuity of care and are making good progress towards the early learning goals.”
“The outdoor environment is well planned and used to enhance children’s learning. Children are able to access outdoor play in all weather and the setting provide suitable clothing, such as, waterproof suits and Wellington boots to ensure all children have opportunities to play outdoors.”
“Parents are very happy with the service they receive. When spoken to on the day of inspection they highly praised nursery staff for their support and for involving them in their children’s learning.”
