Granby House Nursery, Lawn Road, Carlton in Lindrick, Worksop, S81 9LB
Located in the outskirts of Worksop in the village of Carlton in Lindrick. The nursery provides childcare for up to 47 children a day. The nursery is very accessible and parents travel to work in Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham in addition to Worksop. We open from 7.30 am to allow for these extra travelling times and there is no additional charge for our early starters.
The nursery is managed by Jacqui Hannaby, a graduate working towards Early Years Professional Status. Jacqui has over 21 years childcare experience and has worked for Granby Nurseries since the Carlton nursery opened in 2003.
The Granby Childrens Nursery Carlton has gained an overall Outstanding grade from Ofsted twice, which is a fantastic achievement. They were the first private nursery in Nottinghamshire to gain Outstanding overall for their childcare provision. The nursery team are very well established and take a real pride in their nursery, it has a real family atmosphere.

The nursery has a fantastic outdoor area, which is used everyday - whatever the weather. Great use is also made of the local area with frequent walks to the local Country Park with its great wooded area and lake.

“Children are active independent learners. This is because the staff team have excellent knowledge and understanding of effective methods of implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage. Children’s individual needs are met extremely successfully because of the excellent partnerships with parents and others involved in their care and learning.
Children’s health and safety is given high priority and is clearly underpinned by comprehensive policies and procedural documents, which are shared with parents. The staff team are highly committed to continually improving through regular reflective practice and promoting inclusion to all those involved in the setting.”
